Alice and I wanted shutters instead of curtains or blinds for our windows but having shutters professionally installed can get quite expensive.  Blinds.com offered pre-assembled shutters for the do-it-yourselfers, so I figured I would try it on one window and see how it would work out.  If it goes well, then I would continue with the DIY project.  If not, I would give in and hire a professional.  The custom-made Hunter Douglas vinyl shutter that I ordered a few weeks ago finally arrived, and I installed it in the master bathroom.  I have to admit, it was quite easy to install.  So if I Alice approves, I will be doing all the windows myself.
